Post-secondary sector response to federal budget 2013

The Association of Universities and Colleges Canada (AUCC) and the U15 Group of Canadian Research Universities provided news releases in response to Minister Flaherty's release of the federal budget on March 21, 2013. The University of British Columbia is a member of both groups.

The AUCC is the national voice for Canadian universities, representing 97 public and private not-for-profit universities and university degree-level colleges. Prof. Stephen Toope is the current Chair of the AUCC.

The U15 represents the fifteen leading research universities in Canada. The members of the U15 are: University of Alberta, The University of British Columbia, University of Calgary, Dalhousie University, Université Laval, University of Manitoba, McGill University, McMaster University, Université de Montreal, University of Ottawa, Queen's University, University of Saskatchewan, University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, and Western University.
