To support these important goals, Administration and Finance strives to provide the best possible environment in which to work, learn, and conduct research. It does this by providing efficient and timely administrative services that enhance campus life and the university's long-term resilience in a fiscally responsible way.

Associate Vice-President - Administration and Finance

Jackie’s far-reaching responsibilities include guiding the university’s physical growth to ensure it adheres to UBC’s Okanagan campus master plan, staying true to sustainability principals, and providing a strong sense of place within the Okanagan landscape.

Manager - Ceremonies & Events

Ceremonies & Events coordinates Okanagan campus special events including the annual Convocation Ceremonies, which it works to ensure is an experience graduates and their families will remember. The department also coordinates events involving high-level visitors and maintains the university’s traditions and protocols.

Director - Facilities Management

Facilities Management ensures the Okanagan campus is a safe and attractive place to learn and work. Some areas of responsibility include recycling and trash collection, janitorial services, landscaping, building maintenance and repairs, heating and cooling, snow and ice removal, and pest control.

Director - Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for a range of non-academic services that support the University’s mission through financial reporting and financial services including budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, research, and trust accounting. The department also provides financial advice, training and assistance to the university community.

Director - Health, Safety & Environment

The mission of the Department of Health, Safety & Environment is to integrate a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible culture into the working and learning experience at UBC’s Okanagan campus.

Director - Human Resources

Human Resources consults with departments as strategic business partners responsible for employee relations as well as employee services including recruitment and employment processing, orientation, benefits, job classification, compensation, health promotion and work reintegration and accommodation. The department is also responsible for organizational development and learning.

Director - Parking Services and Security

Parking Services oversees all aspects of parking on campus including permits and enforcement. Campus Security provides a safe, secure environment for students, staff and faculty 24/7, 365 days a year.

Space Coordinator - Office of the AVP Administration & Finance

The Space Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and responding to administrative space requests, providing administrative support to the Academic Space Committee, and coordinating minor and major moves within the Okanagan campus.

Director - Supply Management

Supply Management is responsible for acquiring goods and services for UBC faculties and departments.

Director - Sustainability (Operations)

The Okanagan Sustainability Office provides a hub for sustainability initiatives, collaboration, and support that advances all facets of sustainability for everyone who works and learns here.
