Greg Poitras, Head Coach
2010/11 will be Greg Poitras' sixth year as head coach of the men's volleyball team. In his first two seasons, he led the Lakers to back to back bronze medals in the BCCAA. For the 2007/08 season, he built upon this success and coached the Lakers to a gold medal at the BCCAA Provincial Championships and a silver finish at the CCAA National Championships. In 2009/10 the Heat went undefeated in league play earning a wild card berth to the national championship in which they came home with the bronze medal.
Greg's post-secondary playing career started at Douglas College and ended with the UBC Thunderbirds. In addition, Poitras is currently the President of the Kelowna Volleyball Club.
Greg has gained a wealth of playing and coaching experience from a variety of programs. He has been an assistant coach at UBC, the University of Louisiana (NCAA Division 1), and Gonzaga University (NCAA Division 1). He has also worked as head coach in the Kelowna Volleyball Club. For 2 years, Greg has also coached the Team BC U16 Boys. Greg is currently working on his Masters in Education in Coaching at the University of Victoria. He is also in the NCCP Level 4 program.

Kyle Joslin, Assistant Coach
Kyle Joslin is a graduate from Mount Boucherie Secondary who played in the BCCAA at the College of the Rockies. Kyle was recruited from the Cranbrook school to continue his volleyball career at the University of Manitoba. From there Kyle continued with his volleyball career for a professional club in Switzerland. Kyle brings a great deal of enthusiasm to our practices in addition to different perspectives he has acquired from the various volleyball programs he was a member of.
