Place: Coast Capri Hotel Ballroom, Kelowna
Attire: Business
Keynote Speakers: 2008 Canadian Olympic medalists in Rowing
Cost: $1,000 per table; $100 per ticket. A tax receipt for 70 per cent will be issued.

BACKGROUND
Supporting UBC Okanagan Athletics through the Valley First UBC Okanagan Athletics Scholarship Breakfast is the most effective method of donating to athletics because the university provides a matching gift for every ticket/table purchased.
Funds raised through this event go directly into the Athletics Scholarship Endowment. Building athletics endowments ensures that our student athletes have the opportunity to realize their athletic and academic goals in Canada for decades to come.
THE YEAR IN REVIEW
The 2007/08 year was an impressive one for UBC Okanagan Athletics with four of its six teams winning provincial medals, three moving on to in the National Championship with two of those bringing home medals! Men’s volleyball won the Provincial Gold, Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Basketball the Provincial Silver, and Women’s Basketball the Provincial Bronze. In addition, Men’s volleyball won the National Silver, and Women’s Volleyball won the National Bronze.
UBC O student athletes in individual sports have also had great success and gone on to represent their university, province and country in both World Championships and World University Games.
