Comments: Capilano College (CAP) Blues vs Okanagan Lakers

WOMEN’S SOCCER CO-COACH Kristi Egilsson:

Despite losing, the Lakers played their best game of the season. They definitely out-hustled their opponent and played with heart and determination. Lisa McTaggart scored our goal off a scramble in front of the Capilano net. Kim Wright was player of the game; this was Kim’s last game for the Okanagan Lakers as she graduates this year.

WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYER Emma Nixon:

Today’s game was very well played between both teams but unfortunately we came out on the wrong side of the scoresheet. The wet field made it difficult to play a game with skill but we were able to create solid passes and plays. The forwards were winning a lot of the air balls; the mids were working hard and creating lots of chances while the defenders did a very good job of putting the opposing forwards offside. The intensity was high throughout the entire game. Overall, it was a very well played game by the Lakers.
