Department of Creative Studies 

THESIS AWARD for MFA STUDENTS

 The Department of Creative Studies provides a certain amount of funding to MFA students to help with their research. Students can apply for an amount between $500 and $1000 to support some element of their thesis project. Applications for this funding will be adjudicated by faculty in the Department of Creative Studies. Since there is a limited amount of money, not all applications will necessarily be successful. The funding will go to students who make the best case for how the funding will support their thesis work. Funding can be used for, but is not limited to, travel for research or conferences, materials and supplies, subsistence, and artist retreats.
 DEADLINE: April 15, 2011 

Who is eligible: Graduate students completing an MFA degree at UBC Okanagan who have completed their first or second year of study are eligible. Students who have not received funding from the Department of Creative Studies Thesis Award before are given priority over students who have been previously funded.
