The goal for FCCS is to increase research funding from a variety of sources and to build a strong identity for exciting opportunities at UBC Okanagan.
Signature Policy on Research Grant Applications
Within FCCS, the Associate Dean may sign research grant applications on behalf of the Dean. The Dean or Associate Dean will sign grant applications within 24 hours of receipt by the Dean's Office Secretary. An exception is for major grant deadlines such as those for SSHRC Standard Operating Grants for which 48 hours are required.
A UBC signature form must accompany all applications. This form can be found here. You must have the signature page with your Department Head’s signature on it prior to having it signed off by the Dean or Associate Dean. This time does not include the time required by the Office of Research Services who may need up to two days to provide an institutional signature.
Please note the applications for UBC Okanagan Internal Research Grant funding require all signatures except the institutional signature.
