Bachelor of Arts

A UBC Bachelor of Arts Degree at the Okanagan Campus is very flexible and allows you to study a wide variety of topics and issues. You are encouraged to explore new subjects and push your learning into areas you have not previously explored.

Bachelor of Fine Arts - Visual Arts

Overview

Students may choose from any studio and academic electives according to their personal interests, providing they have the appropriate prerequisites. Students must take six credits of upper level electives to graduate. After students have completed the first year of the program, they must have their program of study approved by the Fine Arts department. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that all requirements for the degree are satisfied.

Honours, Majors and Minors

Students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts are encouraged to explore their own program focus. To allow for greatest flexibility in your degree, the BFA program does not offer specific majors and minors.
