The B.Ed. scholarships and awards are allocated upon recommendation by UBC's Okanagan campus Faculty of Education Awards and Scholarship Committee. The scholarships and awards are available to currently enrolled Faculty of Education students at UBC's Okanagan campus. There is no application process.
Bridges Transitions Inc. Award
Bridges Transitions Inc. is the sponsor of this annual award. It is awarded to an Education student demonstrating academic achievement and leadership in Education.
Education Student Course Union Bursary
The Education Student Course Union provides a bursary to the Education student who is involved in fund raising for the course union as well as for their own education. The student must show leadership and initiative in the course union.
Faculty of Education Award for Service and Leadership
Awards are presented by the Faculty of Education to Education students who have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership.
Head of Graduating Class Award
This University of BC Medal is awarded to the graduating student in the Elementary Teacher Education Program achieving the highest academic standing over the two year program.
HMA Architects Award
This award was established by Art Huber and Clive McKenzie to recognize outstanding Education students. The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Education.
Madeline Korfman Memorial Scholarship in Education
Scholarships have been endowed through a bequest by Madeline Betty Korfman to honor her love of teaching. The scholarships are awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Education to full-time UBC Okanagan Faculty of Education students.
Maxwell A. Cameron Award
The B.C. Teachers’ Federation awards the Maxwell Cameron Award to outstanding students completing their final year of teacher education. Two awards are granted, one for the outstanding ETEP student and one for the outstanding STEP student who have initiated , worked, or participated in a project that created positive change globally or in their local community, and/or been actively involved in issues related to poverty, LGBTQ rights, women's rights, antiracism, peace, global, or environmental issues.
