STEP Humanities Education
The Secondary Humanities Stream combines English and Social Studies Methodologies. Through coursework students will be introduced to the research and professional literature in each of these content areas and explore the instructional methods, resources and learning outcomes recommended in the BC Ministry of Education Integrated Resource Packages (IRPs). On these foundations students will develop lesson and unit plans that implement effective instructional strategies, sound methods of classroom organization and management, and appropriate assessment strategies. Applicants must have academic preparation in both English and Social Studies.
