Graduate courses are numbered beginning with the digit 5. For example ENGR 502. The calendar listing includes a brief description of all of the regular organized courses.
ENGR 596 is the Seminar course. All students register in ENGR 596a until they present and earn a pass for thier first seminar. Ph.D. students will then register in ENGR 596b until they present their second seminar and earn a grade of pass.
ENGR 598 courses are special topics or directed studies courses. Faculty members initiate these courses to meet one time courses to meet special academic needs.
ENGR 599 and ENGR 699 are thesis courses for M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. respecitvely. M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. students register in these courses each term until they graduate.
