Yes, registering in thesis in summer provides you with access to the University resources on campus as a registered students. Thesis registration must be continuous until you graduate unless you go on a leave of absence.
You need to register for seminar each Winter 1 and Winter 2 term that it is offered. You must also attend the seminars. You will present one (M.A.Sc.) or two (Ph.D.) seminars as part for the degree requirements.
All students must pay their fees. The Ph.D. tuition fellowship does not cover the fees portion.
Course selection is done under the guidance of the research supervisor. So speak to your supervisor for course selection advice.
