The Masters of Engineering (M. Eng.) degree is intended for students with a desire to increase their Engineering skill set by further education. The M. Eng. will not lead to further studies in a Ph.D. The M. Eng. allows students to take courses to further specialize or upgrade within their discipline beyond the typical courses an undergraduate program can supply. Our M. Eng. programs are designed to meet a student’s needs within the graduate course offerings of the School of Engineering. Both part-time and full-time options are available.
Applicants meeting the entrance criteria should examine our graduate course offerings and complete the application form. On this form the applicant will indicate their interest in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. The course interest form should also be filled out. The application form and application fee should be sent to the Applied Science Master of Engineering Office . All other materials should be sent to the School of Engineering. We will contact the discipline committee members for an initial evaluation of the application. The committee members will contact the applicant if there are any questions while reviewing the application. The committee will contact the Associate Director Graduate Studies and Research and advise of admission decisions as soon as they are made or by the end of June each year.
Students will create a degree plan, and register for and attend courses as they are offered. Students should meet with the Associate Director Graduate Studies and Research for advising once each year. Students apply to graduate through the M. Eng. office of Applied Sicence in the last term they are taking courses.
