All applicants to the College of Graduate Studies are required to complete and submit the General Application form. (It is recommended that Mac users access the "Print Only" application.) We recommend that you submit your general application PRIOR to submitting other documents. Please note that it is NOT necessary to submit all your documents at the same time.

After reviewing the application requirements on your program’s website, complete and submit the applicable Supplemental Application. Some programs require documentation or materials in addition to the supplemental application, such as a CV or portfolio. It is your responsibility to ensure your application is complete.

Once your General Application and Supplemental Application have been submitted, our office will contact you by email (usually within one week - delays may occur in the period January 15th to February 15th) with information on how to create a Campus Wide Login (CWL). You will use your CWL to access the Student Information Service Centre to pay your application fee. You may pay by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Credit Card. Please do not send a cheque.

Request one transcript from all post-secondary institutions you attended to be sent to UBC Okanagan Graduate Studies. Please use the address below. DO NOT send your transcripts to UBC Vancouver (We are unable to retrieve transcripts sent to Vancouver.)

Current UBC (Vancouver or Okanagan) students and alumni of UBC (Vancouver or Okanagan) do not need to submit UBC transcripts.
Applicants to thesis-based programs are required to submit three academic references. Applicants to professional programs are required to submit three references, with at least one academic reference and a maximum of two professional references. The Nursing program requires four references. You should provide your referees with a link to the appropriate online form or a printed copy of the form. Reference forms can be found here. Please follow up with your referees to ensure that your references have been submitted.
