All graduate students are automatically considered full-time students. All graduate students are required to maintain continuous registration and pay three tuition installments (September, January, May). (Graduate tuition is calculated on program basis (annually) and not per course as for undergraduate students.) All research students are expected to register for the thesis throughout their program.
All graduate students who pay full-time fees (Schedule A) are considered to be full-time students. Scholarships are available only to full-time students.
Students who pay part-time fees are considered part-time students and they are not eligible for scholarships. Students are required to complete a Schedule B form and obtain the approval of their Program Coordinator and the College of Graduate Studies. Students must obtain approval prior to the beginning of the term in which the fees are first assessed.
Only students who are planning to complete their degree on a part-time basis are permitted to choose Schedule B. Candidates who select Schedule B are ineligible to receive governmental loans, interest-free status, and University scholarships or fellowships.Students who choose Schedule B are not permitted to switch back to Schedule A after the due date of the first tuition fee installment.
