We areĀ engaged in a project to automate our application, approval and payment process for all PD funds. Our goal is an improved turnaround time for reimbursements to fund users, and a more user friendly process, including self-service access and pre-approval functionality. Based on current projections, the transition from a paper-based claim process to an online claim process will be phased in during the upcoming funding year (2012-13). We are still in the system development stage and will provide ongoing transition timing updates as details become available. This initiative is part of a broader program focused on eliminating bureaucracy and increasing transparency for UBC employees.
