There are two levels of Safety Committees at UBC:
The University Health and Safety Committee (UHSC)
UBC
has a joint central safety committee called the University Health and
Safety Committee (UHSC). Its role is to review and promote health and
safety activities across the University and to make recommendations for
continuous improvement.
Local Health and Safety Committees
All
departments in the University are required to have a local Health and
Safety Committee. These committees monitor the safety programs within
their areas and make recommendations to improve health, safety and
environmental performance.
