The protection of community health involves the successful elimination or management of risk factors in the environment. This includes risk exposure identification, assessment and control, as well as proactive interventions and educational campaigns. 
Currently, HSE community health programs include:

- Indoor Environmental Quality
- Infectious Disease Control
- Occupational Health Program
- Scent Free Education and Awareness
- Water Quality
- Indoor Environmental Quality
As outlined in UBC Policy #7, University Safety, all faculty, staff and students have a role to play in maintaining a healthy, safe and environmentally sustainable university. The resources on this website are designed to support faculty and staff in fulfilling these responsibilities.
