| Abstract: |
Partnerships will be established between UBCO, Interior Health and leaders in Aboriginal Services to achieve the following results:
- Conduct an environmental scan and literature review on mental health and substance use (MHSU) service models that incorporate Aboriginal models of health.
- Develop a menu of options of evidence-based or promising practice models of MHSU services tailored to be responsive to Aboriginal client needs.
- Provide recommendations to Aboriginal Health Services to support MHSU service integration through policy and program development by Interior Health with Aboriginal community partners.
- The results of this project will lead to a CIHR research proposal to evaluate a new model of MHSU services with Aboriginal clients.
