Postdoctoral Research Projects

From Dr. Jianhua Ping:

I am working on the NSERC Strategic project Water Sustainability under Climate Change and Increasing Demand: a One-Water Approach at the Watershed Scale in the Deep Creek Watershed located in North Okanagan. This research is conducted under the supervision of Dr. Adam Wei.

My key responsibility is integrated surface water and groundwater simulations to test how human water demand and climate change affect water sustainability at the watershed scale.  The specific tasks include geochemical characterization and quantification of water exchange and the development of integrated hydrological modeling using Mike-She.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the valuable support from Dr. Craig Nichol (UBC Okanagan), Dr. Allan Woodbury (University of Manitoba), Dr. John Janmaat (UBC Okanagan), Bill Taylor (Environment Canada), Des Anderson (BC Ministry of Environment), Dr. Ge Sun (United States Department of Agriculture), the Township of Spallumcheen and the City of Armstrong.
