Molecular Prep
FADSS provides a molecular prep service which includes:

DNA extraction

PCR amplification
-
Gel electrophoresis
-
PCR clean-up
-
Spec analysis of PCR product
This service is subject to limited availability. Please contact FADSS staff before sending samples.
Sample Submission Guidelines
1. Place clearly labeled samples on the top shelf of the freezer in SCI347. The plate and or rack label should match the Plate/Rack ID. If you are shipping your samples to FADSS, please send your samples to the address at the top of the Molecular Prep Request form Attn: FADSS.
2. Please submit the completed Molecular Prep Request Form to fadss.ok@ubc.ca. Samples submitted with an incomplete form will not be processed.
Molecular Prep Service Fees
The molecular prep service fee is $25/sample*. Fee includes DNA extraction, PCR amplification, gel electrophoresis, PCR clean-up and spec analysis of PCR product. Price does not include sequencing or fragment analysis.
* Please note, samples are charged in multiples of 8.
