We welcome students transferring to the Faculty of Management in their second or third year from Canadian colleges, university colleges and universities.
Applicants who have completed a minimum of 27 transferable credits from a recognized post-secondary institution are eligible to be considered for admission to second year of the Bachelor of Management program.
Beginning in September 2007, applicants who have completed 60 transferable credits, including all required courses, from a recognized post-secondary institution are eligible to be considered for admission to third year of the Bachelor of Management program.
Students who have completed any business related course at a recognized post-secondary institution will be exempt from MGMT 100 and possibly MGMT 200 as determined by the Dean. If exemption is not granted, these students will be expected to complete MGMT 200 in their fourth year.
Beginning in September 2007, applicants (should they fulfill the admission requirements) who have completed an Associate of Arts degree or an Associate of Science degree from a recognized college or university college in British Columbia or the Yukon are eligible to be considered for admission to third year of the Bachelor of Management degree program and will receive full transfer credit (60 credits) for the work done for their associate degree and will be exempt from the first and second year required courses excluding MGMT 200.
Students applying in this category are strongly recommended to complete at least one course in each of Economics, Calculus, Statistics and Psychology within their Associate Degree program. Successful applicants will be expected to complete MGMT 200 in their fourth year.
Applicants who have completed a two-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum overall average of at least 65% (or 2.5 on a 4.0 scale) are eligible to be considered for admission.
Successful applicants will receive a one-year exemption and be admitted directly to second year of the Bachelor of Management program. These students will be required to complete ENGL 112, ECON 101, MATH 116 or 100, STAT 121 or 124, PSYC 111 and MGMT 200 or their equivalent.
Beginning in September 2007, applicants who have completed a baccalaureate degree in any discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution are eligible to be considered for admission to third year of the Bachelor of Management program. These students will be expected to complete MGMT 200 in their fourth year.
