The First Two Years in Arts & Science - Entry From Another College or Institution:

If you are planning to join us from another college or university, you will be required to complete the required core courses (as described below) before you enter your third year.  Since our program is delivered in a co-hort fashion and in third and fourth year of a degree program, transfer students should maximize the number of non-business courses they are pursuing at their institution.

Required Courses

If you are transferring from another college or institution students must successfully complete the following required courses or their equivalents with an average of 60%. At UBC Okanagan, the course numbers are:

  • Management 100 - Introduction to Canadian Business
  • Management 200 - Personal and Corporate Social Responsibility
  • English 112 - Strategies for University Writing
  • Economics 101 - Principles of Microeconomics
  • Math 116 or 100 - Calculus I for Commerce or Differential Calculus with Applications to Physical Sciences and Engineering
  • Psychology 111 – Introduction to Psychology: Basic Processes
  • Statistics 121 or 124 - Elementary Statistics or Business Statistics

If you have not completed the equivalent of Management 100 and 200, we will work with you to see how to fit these into your UBC Okanagan program once you arrive.  Transfer credits and course equivalencies will be dealt with on a case-by- case basis.
