Established in 2005, the Faculty of Management is the business faculty at UBC's Okanagan campus. The Faculty offers business education opportunities that have international reach and quality, but are delivered in an intimate campus setting. It offers a broad-based Bachelor of Management degree, with over 850 students, and the Master of Management degree for individuals who hold non-business undergraduate degrees.
UBC's Okanagan campus opened in September 2005 as a distinctive, smaller campus of The University of British Columbia, and offers access to quality international-level education within an intimate learning community. It is fast earning a reputation as an important, respected centre of learning and research where students interact with one another and their professors on a daily basis, while becoming global citizens through interaction with their community and the world.
With a goal of serving the post-secondary education needs of 7,500 students, UBC's Okanagan campus is growing to serve the needs of British Columbia, Canada, and the world by increasing access to the internationally recognized UBC degree. As UBC's Okanagan campus grows, it will continue to feature smaller class sizes, experiential learning, community involvement, and direct access to research activity.
With campuses in Vancouver and Kelowna, The University of British Columbia holds an international reputation for excellence in advanced research and learning. UBC has grown into one of Canada's finest universities ranking among the world's 40 best. Measured by any criterion - the intellectual calibre of our students, the quality of faculty teaching and research, the professionalism of our staff - UBC is an outstanding university, and plays a vital role in the cultural, social, and economic development of our Province and our country.
The Master of Management program is a one-year Master of Management (M.M.) degree offered by the Faculty of Management at UBC's Okanagan campus. The Master of Management program provides recent university graduates the opportunity to gain valuable business skills that are beneficial to a career in any industry or sector.
Master of Management classes start annually in September with a mandatory Business Immersion course held in the first week of September. Courses are offered in six-week blocks and are called modules. Master of Management students take four modules at a time. In the fall, there are two six-week blocks followed by a winter break. In the new year and spring, there are three more six-week blocks. In total, students take 22 modules for a combined total of 33 credits.
The Master of Management can be completed in as little as ten months with classes ending in May and graduation taking place in November.
Master of Management students will take a total of 22 modules. Each module is 1.5 credits and is taught over a six-week period. Students take four modules at a time. In the Master of Management program, all students move through the entire program together as a cohort through a set, standard curriculum. The standard curriculum offers a broad-based management education, with modules selected from all of the major business disciplines: accounting, corporate governance and ethics, entrepreneurship, finance, information technology, law, managerial economics, marketing, operations and logistics, organizational behaviour and human resources, statistics, strategic management, and supply chain management.

In addition, we recommend that you register for an optional online preparation course in the summer of 2012.
