Payments or inquiries may be made in person at the Parking Services office. Personal cheques, Visa, Mastercad, debit and cash are accepted in person at Parking Services office. Payments can be mailed to UBC Okanagan, Parking Services office, 3333 University Way, Kelowna, BC V1V 1V7
Please note: Payment of fines within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of issue will be reduced by 50%. Payment of fines made beyond that period will be the full face value.
All permits/passes are issued subject to observance of terms, conditions and regulations applicable. A permit/pass shall be invalid:
The permit shall be affixed as directed by the Parking Services office. Expired and canceled parking permits must be removed from vehicles after the expiry/cancellation dates. All permits, visitor or special parking permit/pass shall be visibly displayed face up on the dash, driver's side, or as directed by the Parking Services office. Only one pass/permit is to be displayed.
The person requesting a refund must present the pass to the Parking Services office and complete a refund request form including full name and mailing address. The form will be forwarded to the Finance Department who will prepare a refund and forward it by mail. In-office refunds can be done with either a MasterCard or Visa at time of return. $10 and under will not be refunded. Cancellations or refunds are prorated by the week only.
UBC Okanagan accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen passes. However, where theft has been reported to police and the file number is provided and verified, we will replace your pass for $35.

Any motor vehicles parked, operated or driven on UBC Okanagan Campus should be done so solely at the risk of the owner and the operator. UBC Okanagan will not be liable for damage to any such motor vehicle, vehicle contents, the operator, other occupants, or any other person.
If damage or inconvenience is occasioned to any motor vehicle being removed or towed away or impounded pursuant to the regulations, neither UBC Okanagan nor its servants or agents will be liable or responsible in any way whatsoever for said damage or inconvenience. Nothing in this paragraph will affect the liability of any independent contractor carrying out the removal, towing away, or impoundment of the vehicle.
Faculty and staff who are on currently on a yearly payroll deduction plan will continue to be deducted and will not need to reapply for a parking pass. These passes expire Nov 1, 2012. New permanent staff can obtain a pass in the Parking Services office.
All Students, Staff and Faculty are required to pay for parking on campus. Lot R for resident parking passes will be available at the Parking Services office. Visitors will pay a $5 flat fee which gives 24 hours of time, using a ticket dispenser located across from Similkameen entrance. Parking fees are in effect all year round. All residents who park on campus are under the UBC Okanagan parking policy. See the Housing office for additional information.
If you have not paid the penalty, you may dispute the contravention alleged in this Traffice Notice within 14 days from receipt of the Traffic Notice. You must dispute the Traffic Notice in writing to the UBC Hearing Officer at the Parking Services office, provide the number of the Traffic Notice, your postal or electronic mail address and describe why you dispute the Traffice Notice. Disputes can also be submitted via your CWL account.
Parking Services operates under the authorities granted by the UBC Board of Governers as set out in the "Traffic and Parking Regulations of UBC."
