  • UBC's Okanagan campus set to host soccer provincials

The UBC's Okanagan campus's Athletics and Recreation department is proud to announce that it will be hosting the 2011 PacWest Men’s and Women’s Provincial Soccer Championships on October 28 – 30, 2011.

This three day event will bring together the best six men’s and women’s collegiate soccer teams from across the province, the tournament will begin play Friday at 10:30 A.M. with the women’s gold medal game slated for 3:30 P.M. Sunday and the men’s gold medal game to take place at 6:00 P.M. All action will take place at the Nonis Sports Field on UBC's Okanagan campus.

The winner of this event in both the men’s and women’s side will be journeying to the national championship as representative members of the PacWest in a quest to be crowned national champion. The 2011 CCAA Soccer championships will be hosted by Collège François-Xavier-Garneau in Québec, Québec. Separate men and women’s tournaments will take place November 9-12, 2011.
