Researcher of the Year Award

Award for Excellence in Research and/or Creative Scholarly Activity

Do you know an outstanding researcher? Nominate them for the Award for Excellence in Research and/or Creative Scholarly Activity.

Each year, UBC's Okanagan campus recognizes a faculty member who has made a significant contribution to research during the time of their appointment at the University. The award consists of a $5,000 cash prize and is presented annually during the Celebrate Research Week Gala event. Faculty, Deans, Unit Heads, Alumni and Students are invited to submit nominations. 

Public Education Through Media Award

The Provost's Award for Public Education Through Media recognizes a faculty member from UBC's Okanagan campus who has demonstrated outstanding service to the University and the community by actively and creatively sharing research expertise via the news media. The award consists of a research stipend of $2,000.00 and a certificate of award.
