As UBC Okanagan continues to evolve and earn a reputation as an important, respected centre of learning and research, it is an opportune time to highlight some of the innovative and cutting-edge projects on our campus.
The New Face of Research is a new publication produced by the Office of the Provost and the Research Services Office, which highlights a selection of UBC Okanagan's outstanding researchers. The publication, released December 2008, will cover research from all faculties and will be produced on a bi-annual basis.
"I am very pleased to present a highlight of the variety of outstanding researchers and research projects that encapsulate our research profile" said Provost, Dr. Alaa Abd-El-Aziz. "The innovative research taking place at UBC Okanagan strengthens ties between our educators, faculty, scientists, students and communities—both locally and globally."
"We encourage and support the pursuit of diverse research approaches, whether they are individual or collaborative, in and across all disciplines," says Abd-El-Aziz. "The New Face of Research is a reflection of these interactions and approaches to research. It is a recognition and celebration of the excellence in research we are building."
We invite you to explore the articles below and take a glimpse into the research community of UBC Okanagan.
