Internal Funding Opportunities at UBC's Okanagan campus

Invited International Distinguished Visitor Fund

The Invited International Distinguished Visitor Fund provides opportunities for UBC faculty to invite international colleagues to visit UBC and engage with the campus community and share their research and expertise.  Examples of engagement activities include providing presentations and workshops; conducting research activities; and collaborating with faculty and students.  The application must be submitted by a UBC Okanagan faculty member on behalf of their international colleague for this funding.  The Office of Research Services is available to facilitate the pairing of suitable research colleagues if an interested international applicant is not currently connected with a UBC Okanagan faculty member.

For more information or to submit an application, please contact Raina (Ducklow) Reddecliff, International Resource & Communications Officer, DVC & Principal Office.  raina.reddecliff@ubc.ca

Internal Research Grant Program

Faculty members at UBC's Okanagan campus are eligible to apply for the Internal Okanagan campus Research Grants available through the Office of Research Services. Recipients are selected by the Internal Grants Committee. There are seven internal grants, developed to assist faculty and students seeking opportunities to develop their research. This seed funding is expected to result in preparing applications for external funding, or for attending conferences, producing manuscripts, journals or productions from research findings.
