Teaching Excellence and Innovation Awards

Do you know an outstanding teacher? Nominate him or her for an Award for Teaching Excellence and Innovation. 

The purpose of these awards is to acknowledge teaching innovation and excellence at UBC's Okanagan campus.

Two awards consisting of a cash prize of $3,000 each will be awarded; one award will be given to a senior faculty member (ten or more years teaching experience), one award will given to a junior faculty member (less than ten years of teaching experience). A master plaque listing the names of award recipients will be displayed in a prominent place on campus. The awards will be presented annually during The Learning Conference and the recipients will be honoured at Convocation. Please see the Award Terms below for further details.

Dean's Office
December 15  
Dean advises nominees of their nomination December 21
Nominee submits teaching dossier & CV to their Dean     January 25  
Nominator submits the nomination form and supporting documents to the nominee's Dean January 25 
Dean's office submits compiled nomination packages to Office of the Provost February 15
Presentation of Award at Learning Conference      May
Recognition of award recipient at Convocation   June
