Sona Information for Student Researchers

To begin managing your experiment, your supervisor must first contact the Sona coordinator, Dr. Barbara Rutherford.The Sona coordinator will then create an account with which you can access the system. Your supervisor is also responsible for setting up the study on Sona. In most cases you will be responsible for managing the timeslots for the experiment. That is, you will confirm students' participation and grant them their credit after their participation is complete. If a participant does not show up for their timeslot they are to be marked as "Unexcuse No-Show" and they will then not receive credit. It is recommended that you become familiar with the Sona procedures before students begin to participate.
