Distributing results and publishing findings is an important part of the research life cycle. There are multiple tools available to researchers to help with your publishing needs:
OJS Open Journal Systems is a research and development initiative of the Public Knowledge Project at the University of British Columbia. It is an open source journal management and publishing software developed, supported, and freely distributed by the Public Knowledge Project under the GNU General Public License. Its continuing development is currently overseen by a partnership among UBC's Public Knowledge Project, the Canadian Center for Studies in Publishing, and the Simon Fraser University Library.
Wiki's allow easy creation and editing of any number of interlinked web pages and is often used to create collaborative websites. IT, Media and Classroom Services offers both public and private wikis to the UBCO faculty and staff.
Blogs are a valuable asset when there is a need to share resources and news to a wide audience. They also provide readers to ability to offer feedback. From documenting research processes to distributing latest news, blogs can be very helpful to distribute information.
