General Background

Judy interests are in the area of child welfare with a particular focus on governance and the role of community. Her practice experience includes child protection supervision and staff training and development including development and implementation of joint training for child welfare workers and RCMP officers in the investigation of child sexual abuse. Her practice has also included Mental Health therapist, and has co-facilitation of group treatment programs for abusive men.  She has also practiced community organizing in a variety of settings with much of this occurring in rural areas and Aboriginal communities in northern Alberta.
