If you would like to receive e-mail updates about about the Distinguished Speaker Series please send your e-mail address to community.ok@ubc.ca.
The Distinguished Speaker Series would like to ask your help in decreasing the number of "no-shows" at our Distinguished events.
All of the seats to our speaker series are reserved weeks in advance of the event, so it is very disappointing to see empty seats in the theatre when we have had to turn interested people away.
Should your plans change prior to the event and your seats will not be used, please contact us (community.ok@ubc.ca) prior to the event so they can be reallocated to others.
After 7 p.m. the night of the event, any unclaimed seats will be reallocated to individuals waiting in the standby line.
This series is made possible through the generous support of the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences Endowment Fund. We also gratefully acknowledge the support of Manteo Resort Waterfront Hotel and Villas for providing accommodations for the Distinguished Speaker Series.
