Aboriginal self-identification helps us help you. UBC has a number of unique programs and services specifically for Aboriginal students. These programs and services are designed to help support you during your studies and provide you information about various opportunities for Aboriginal students.

You can self-identify as an Aboriginal student:

Protecting Your Privacy

UBC staff and faculty members who have a role in providing Aboriginal students with student services will have access to this information on a need to know basis. It may be shared between appropriate departments and staff in the performance of their duties. It is protected by University policies governing the use of student information, in particular Policy 104: The Responsible Use of Information Technology Facilities and Services, and Policy 106: Access to and Security of Administrative Information. It also has legal protection through the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act [RSBC 1996] Chapter 165.
