The Work Term

During the Co-op work term

Our Co-op Coordinator provides ongoing support to both the supervisor and the working student to ensure a productive work term. Site visits, learning objectives, and final reports are key forms of this support.

After the Co-op work term

Students are required to complete a work term report and evaluate their own work term. We encourage students to discuss work report ideas with their supervisor since the project can take many forms. During the site visit, a coordinator also discusses the work report with the student and supervisor.

Final evaluations are the final piece of a co-op term and employers evaluate the student and provide feedback on their experience. We highly encourage that this evaluation is shared with the student prior to the end of the co-op term. As well the student will complete an evaluation on the co-op experience.

If you have questions on the work term requirements please contact the Co-op Coordinator, coop.ubco@ubc.ca or 250.807.9206
