Be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits per term (Term 1 and/or Term 2). Credit Eligibility. The 9 credits cannot be made up of distance education classes. Credits for Directed Studies, Honors Thesis, Practicum placements please contact the Work Study Program Coodinator. Decision will be based on an individual case Credits for a co-op placement are not eligible credits. Student is not eligible for work study subsidy if the student is working under another subsidy program such as NSERC award and Canada Summer Jobs |

If you were registered full-time in both Term 1 and Term 2 of the previous academic year, you do not need summer courses to be eligible. If you were not full-time in the previous academic year, you must be registered in full-time studies during the summer session Be a degree seeking student and is returning to full time studies the following September |
| Graduate students: |
PHD students are not eligible to work in the program. Masters Graduate - must be paying full time fees. Student does not qualify if the student is a recipient of a scholarship or an award that pays their tuition in its entirity. Student must be paying a portion of his/her tuition. Funding Eligibility: Student cannot be funded(paid) by two subsidy programs. i.e. NSERC, CSJ and Work Study.

Students may only accept one Work Learn position in Winter Session and one in Summer Session. If the position location is off campus you are not eligible to work off campus unless you have a valid off campus work permit.
