UBC Okanagan Career Services has several self-assessment tools designed to help you match your personality, interests, values, and skills with the right career.

First, start by exploring some of the free resources linked to Career Tools (see left) in the "Know Yourself" section. Then, if you would like a more in-depth discussion, we have two fee-based tools that can help.

Strong Interest Inventory

The most respected and widely used career planning instrument in the world.  The Strong links your interests and preferences to various jobs, work settings and careers.  You will receive a comprehensive report—see attached sample.  (Sample Report)

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (Personality Assessment)

With a proven record of reliability spanning more than 50 years, the MBTI offers a foundation for understanding individual differences.  Our MBTI career report describes career paths that you may find rewarding because they allow you to express your natural preferences.  See attached sample.  (Sample Report)
