We know that your health and well being is closely tied to doing well academically. You need to feel good and balanced outside of the classroom to do well inside of it!

The Student Health 101 monthly publication is intended to provide you with valuable information on topics that you are interested in learning about, but may not want to ask.

Student Health 101 is a monthly electronic publication that is created by a third party but distributed through UBC Okanagan Health & Wellness to offer health related articles, topics and discussion starters to our student population. Each edition also includes UBC Okanagan-specific articles, links and resources. Our main goal is to provide information on a wide range of topics that could be facing our students at any given time. Ranging from:

  • Staying healthy
  • Athletics
  • Eating right
  • Financial help
  • Academics
  • Personal well being

It is fun, interactive, and leaves you in the driver’s seat to share your thoughts, and stories around your experiences as a student. It also encourages and allows you to share with us what you would like to see in future issues.

This publication is based on issues that students from all over are being faced with and then researched by a medical advisory team of doctors, nurse practitioners and other medical and student services professionals.
