Sexual Health
Sexual health is an integral part of an individual’s health. Sexual health has many components including our physical health, our preception of our sexual self, body image, cultural and personal understandings of sex, social attitudes towards sex and our relationships with others. Like other aspects of our health and wellbeing having knowledge and understanding creates opportunities for us to lead healthy lives including sexuality.
The Health and Wellness team provides sexual health information, sexual counselling, pregnancy testing, sexual health supplies (eg. condoms) and testing for sexual transmitted infections (STIs).
We assist students to talk comfortably about sex and to navigate their sexual relationships. Many people struggle with finding the words to use when talking about sex and sexual relationships. We are trained to be sensitive listeners and to help students ask for what they need.

In addition to these services, Health and Wellness collaborates with Options for Sexual Health to provide comprehensive access to sexual health services. Visit OPTS at the Health & Wellness Centre on Wednesday afternoons for low-cost birth control supplies, counselling, pregnancy testing, and information about STIs that Options for Sexual Health can provide.

The Options for Sexual Health clinic
Options for Sexual Health are on campus Wednesday afternoons (September - April) from 1 pm to 3:30 pm. If you need to access sexual health services after hours, Options for Sexual Health holds off campus clinics (appointment recommended). Contact information as follows:
