Police are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the person responsible for this incident. Please provide any information to the University Detachment RCMP at 604-224-1322 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

UBC has taken several steps recently to ensure the safety of our campus community, including additional security around student residences and the expansion of the UBC Blue Phone network. There are additional safety measures available to you:

The University is doing everything possible to assist the RCMP in their investigation. Campus Security and the RCMP continue to patrol campus and respond to reported incidents. Personal security is an important consideration for everyone at UBC. Please take the utmost care and be aware of your surroundings when travelling on campus.

We recognize these are preventative measures that will not stop every crime from happening; however, we can work together proactively to create a safer community at UBC.

Sincerely,
