Supporting our campus communities
Core to the foundation of UBC is care and respect for students, faculty and staff. Through policy and established support systems, we strive to ensure all members of our UBC community have what they need to navigate difficult situations and challenging incidents that may affect our sense of collective and personal safety.

Faculty Supports
The terms, conditions and expectations of employment as faculty at UBC are detailed in the UBC/UBC Faculty Association Collective Agreement.

Staff Supports

The university is committed to strengthening a community in which human rights are respected and the principles of equity and inclusion are embedded in all areas of academic, work and campus life.
The UBC Equity and Inclusion Office in the Okanagan and the Equity and Inclusion Office in Vancouver provide human rights advising services and additional resources for students, faculty and staff.

UBC Campus Security
UBC Campus Security on the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses respond to safety and security concerns, provide first aid, and assist police, ambulance and fire crews when they are on campus. Security Officers patrol by vehicle, bicycle and on foot and respond to calls for assistance with any situation that is concerning or suspicious.
